windows may have deleted the file so go on virus and threat> protection history then click on either restore or allow on device

if anybody has a similar issue to me, where when the game launches and the fix appears to be working fine (it redirects to the online fix site and launches the game) but steam doesen't launch space war, i fixed it by replacing steam_api64.dll in ...\Sons of the Forest\SonsOfTheForest_Data\Plugins\x86_64, i downloaded mine from DLL-files.com
