I have a problem. When I start the game (Steam is running), I have a black screen and the other cursor sat for about 15 minutes, nothing has changed. Tried to run as administrator and vice versa, does not help

@Jonsans,
Man, first delete what you extracted. Turn off windows defender. Put forest folder as an exclusion in Windows Defender settings. And then extract after you extract try to run the game. It should work. Comment if anything goes wrong. :D

@Jonsans, try to go to "Windows Security"-> "Protection against viruses and threats"->"Protection Log" and look for this file there, and then allow.
попробуй зайти в "Безопасность Windows"-> "Защита от вирусов и угроз"->"Журнал защиты" и поищи там этот файл, а после разреши.

hmm i tried to install it on windows 11 and upon opening the exe nothing happens
tried:
steam opened/closed
run as admin
compatibility modes
changing folder's location
checked file integrity on torrent
also there are only latin characters in all of the folders' names

Your anti-virus probably deleted the DLL. Check your anti-virus and either turn it off or exclude the files it will delete.

Don't know if anyone else is getting this problem but for me the game crashes (completely closes and shows a "not responding" window for a fraction of a second) right after the opening cutscene with the helicopter crash. If I lock the fps to 60 it seems like it lasts much longer before it crashes, I can actually play for a little bit right at the beginning. I have great hardware, shouldn't be from that (3090ti, 32gb RAM, 13700k). No other games exhibit this sort of crashing behavior, ones installed before this one and ones I've installed after. Potential memory leak issue that has to be patched?
