Don't forget guys, if you like this game and have the money, you should buy it, it had a troubling launch but Asobo has very passionate devs working behind this game.

How is that this version is only 10gb? Also, is it really connected to internet so it has real-time weather and all?

It looks like a "mini-version" (the textures also look worse)

The game is only around 11.6gb on disk because almost everything is streamed from the cloud servers now. This is also why your textures are probably looking like crap. As the servers have continued to be overwhelmed since launch, and when they were starting to get better, now you have several cracked/fixed releases out, so even more people getting on for the first time. Once the newness wears down and they get a handle on the server bandwidth problems, it will be ok. I've logged over 8hrs of flight time so far and the first few hours my textures would drop to mine craft levels, lately though its been pretty rock solid 4k textures for me on a 2Gbps DL/UL fiber line. Funny thing is though, MS is throttling users to 50mbs speeds during peak usage. This is whats causing people to get stuck at 97% or whatever as the packet being downloaded essentially times or errors out and never seems to finish.

I will also add, this release has several DLC files supposedly tied to it, but it is essentially still standard version. I have not yet found a way to get the DLC packages that are listed in the onlinefix.ini file to install. As I already own the standard edition, I will just wait for a Aviator Edition crack/fix or content to be released.
